There are two quotes that I think reflect the mindset here in America when it comes to knowing and discussing politics:

Blaise Pascal:

You always admire what you really don’t understand.

and

Herbert V. Prochnow:

A great many people mistake opinions for thoughts.

With that being said I think our topic of debate is a good one and the lack of civilized language reflects poorly on the level of our culture socially.  I don’t think you would hear men like Martin Luther King Jr. or John Quincy Adams speak thus.

Lets elevate the level of this debate and think about the goal. After all I believe modern day politics are designed to keep us divided and unfocused as mental dependants so government can dictate and amass power. How much personal freedom do we really have compared to the freemen of colonial times? Let us stand and be counted as men and not as sheep, for in us is greatness. Nurture it don’t slay it.
